What it involves
Calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse) provides immediate volume and, above all, stimulates collagen production, progressively improving the skin's firmness and quality. We also offer hybrid protocols combining it with hyaluronic acid. The indication and amount are assessed in consultation.
Benefits
- Collagen stimulation
- Progressive firmness
- Hybrid option with hyaluronic acid
Who is it for?
This may be for you if you notice loss of firmness, mild laxity or lack of support in areas such as the facial contour, cheeks or jawline, and you are looking for a natural firming effect. After a personalised assessment, the doctor confirms whether calcium hydroxylapatite is the most suitable option for your case. It is not indicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding or with active infections in the area.
What the session is like
The session begins with a study of your face to plan the areas to treat and the amount of product. We apply the calcium hydroxylapatite with a precise technique, usually with a cannula or needle, and we generally use topical anaesthetic for your comfort. The session takes roughly 30 to 45 minutes.
Results and how long they last
The volume and support effect is visible from the very first moment, and the result improves progressively over the following weeks as your collagen is stimulated. Duration varies from person to person, typically lasting between 12 and 18 months. Periodic touch-ups may be needed to maintain the result.
Aftercare
It is normal to notice mild swelling, redness or a small bruise that resolves within a few days. During the first 24-48 hours it is best to avoid intense heat, demanding exercise and touching the area. The doctor will give you specific instructions and will be available for any questions.
