Hollow under-eyes

Fills the tear trough and refreshes the gaze with a natural finish.

Hollow under-eyes

What it involves

A marked tear trough makes you look tired even when you're well rested. With hyaluronic acid formulated for the area we gently fill the hollow, soften the shadow and bring light back to the gaze. It's a delicate area that needs a careful medical assessment to confirm whether you're a good candidate.

Benefits

  • Less tired-looking
  • Softens dark shadows
  • A brighter gaze

Who is it for?

Not all under-eye concerns are the same: those caused by volume loss in the tear trough respond best to this treatment, whereas under-eyes of pigmentary or vascular origin may see more limited improvement. That is why we always begin with a medical assessment in which we analyse your anatomy, your skin tone and the real cause of your under-eye hollows before confirming whether you are a good candidate.

During the consultation we also evaluate factors such as skin thickness in the area and the degree of volume loss, since very thin skin requires even greater precision and candidacy needs to be assessed with particular care.

What the session is like

The session begins with a detailed assessment of the area to define the most suitable technique and product for you. We apply topical anaesthesia to maximise your comfort, then work with hyaluronic acid specifically formulated for the tear trough, placing it with great care to achieve a natural, even correction.

It is a short procedure that we carry out with the utmost delicacy, as the eye contour is one of the most sensitive areas of the face. When we are done, we walk you through exactly what to expect in the days ahead.

Results and how long they last

Results are often visible from the session itself, though the area may be slightly swollen for the first few days; the final outcome becomes clear once the swelling subsides, usually within the days following treatment. Duration varies from person to person depending on anatomy and individual metabolism, and we cannot guarantee a specific timeframe.

Over time the hyaluronic acid is naturally reabsorbed; when you notice the effect gradually fading, a maintenance session can help prolong the improvement. Being honest about expectations is part of how we work.

Aftercare

For the first few hours avoid touching or massaging the treated area. Some swelling or small bruises in the days that follow are normal; apply gentle cold if needed and avoid intense heat (sauna, direct sun) until they subside.

Avoid makeup on the area for the first few hours and skip intense exercise on the day of treatment. If you have any concerns or notice something that doesn't seem right, get in touch — we are here to follow up with you.

Frequently asked questions

Does the hollow under-eye treatment hurt?
The eye contour area is sensitive, which is why we apply topical anaesthesia before the session to keep you as comfortable as possible. Most patients describe it as mild and manageable discomfort. If at any point you feel too uncomfortable, we stop and adjust.
How long will the area be swollen?
Some swelling and, in some cases, small bruises are normal in the days after treatment. This generally settles within a few days, though it varies depending on the person and their tendency to bruise. We recommend not scheduling the treatment just before an important event in case the recovery takes a little longer than usual.
Do all types of under-eye circles improve with hyaluronic acid?
No. This treatment is mainly indicated for hollow under-eyes caused by volume loss in the tear trough. Under-eye circles of pigmentary origin (dark skin colouration) or vascular origin (translucency of blood vessels) respond more modestly and may require other approaches. During the prior assessment we explain what type of under-eye concern you have and what result you can realistically expect.
Can the treatment be reversed if I am not happy with the result?
Hyaluronic acid is naturally reabsorbed by the body over time. There is also an enzyme (hyaluronidase) that can dissolve it if needed. This is reassuring to know, though it is worth understanding that dissolving is also a medical procedure assessed on a case-by-case basis — it is not an instant undo button. The most important thing is to arrive at the session after a thorough assessment, which minimises the need for any corrections.
