What it involves
Facial sagging is the loss of firmness and skin tone that appears over the years due to declining collagen and the progressive descent of tissues, and it is usually noticed in the facial oval, cheeks and neck. Dr. Clara Navarro assesses each face individually and, depending on the case, addresses it with tensor threads, calcium hydroxyapatite or PRP to reposition, stimulate and support the skin. The aim is to restore firmness gradually while always preserving your expression and a natural look.
Benefits
- Firmer skin
- Defined facial oval
- Natural result
Who is it for?
It may be for you if you notice your facial contour has lost firmness, that your cheeks or facial oval have dropped, or that your skin looks less taut. Also if you prefer to improve firmness gradually, without surgery and without changing your features. In your first consultation we assess your skin and your case to decide whether tensor threads, hydroxyapatite or PRP are the most suitable option for you.
What the session is like
The session begins with an assessment to plan the technique and the areas to treat. Depending on the case, we place tensor threads to reposition the tissue, apply hydroxyapatite to stimulate collagen, or perform PRP using your own blood, always with topical anaesthetic for your comfort. The duration varies with the chosen treatment and, in most cases, you can return to your routine shortly afterwards.
Results and how long they last
The improvement in sagging is progressive: with threads you will notice a supportive effect from the start, while hydroxyapatite and PRP stimulate your collagen and the result becomes visible over the following weeks. How long it lasts varies with the technique and each person, but it usually holds for several months. With a personalised plan and occasional check-ups we help maintain firmness over time.
Aftercare
After the session it is normal to notice slight redness, swelling or small bruises that settle quickly. We recommend avoiding intense heat, strenuous exercise and massaging the area during the first few days, and sleeping on your back if you have had threads. Follow the personalised instructions we give you and contact the clinic with any questions.
