What it involves
Androgenetic alopecia is the most common cause of hair loss and shows up as a gradual loss of density, typically at the crown and hairline in men and in the central part of the scalp in women. To address it, Dr. Clara Navarro assesses each case individually and, when indicated, uses hair mesotherapy and PRP, which act on the scalp to improve the environment around the follicle. The aim is to care for the hair you have and support its quality gradually and naturally.
Benefits
- Better-cared-for hair
- Healthier scalp
- Personalised medical approach
Who is it for?
It may be for you if you notice your hair gradually losing density, looking finer, or your hairline or central area becoming more visible. Also if you are looking for a medical, realistic approach without empty promises to care for your hair. In your first consultation we assess your case and the condition of your scalp to confirm whether hair mesotherapy or PRP is the right option for you.
What the session is like
The session begins with an assessment of the scalp to plan the treatment. With hair mesotherapy we apply superficial microinjections to the area being treated and, in the case of PRP, we use a preparation obtained from your own blood. Each session usually takes around 30 minutes and, generally, a plan of several sessions is suggested to support progress.
Results and how long they last
Changes tend to appear gradually over the course of the sessions and with consistency, not overnight. The response varies from person to person and with the degree of alopecia and how early treatment begins, so results are individual. To maintain hair care, maintenance sessions and occasional check-ups are usually recommended.
Aftercare
After the session it is normal to feel slight redness or tenderness in the scalp, which settles within a few hours. We recommend not washing your hair for the first few hours and avoiding intense heat, swimming pools and strenuous exercise during the first 24 hours. Follow the instructions we give you and contact the clinic with any questions.
